This high-quality chicken coop is a great way to get started in keeping your own chickens!This coop works great for chickens or as a rabbit hutch. This style of coop is big enough to be a true coop, but small enough to make it portable, which allows you to move the chickens around your landscape. This is beneficial because it allows them to continuously forage in new areas, the ground under the coop will not be worn down to the dirt, and you can gradually spread beneficial "fertilizer" on the ground simply by changing the coop's location. This coop is made of high quality kiln dried and planed fir wood. It is treated with a non-toxic stain to protect it from the elements. The coop is already partially assembled when you recieve it, so final assembly takes only a few minutes. It is built into large panels that are easy to connect together. Each box comes with an assembly drawing. Cleaning this coop is simple and easy. You simply lift out the two perch boards, sweep the droppings down the ramp hole, and then relocate the coop to a new location.The coop is designed with easy to operate hinged doors with latches (see photos). They give you full access to the entire coop for cleaning, collecting eggs, feeding, etc. There are two large side doors and an opening lid to the nesting box that is mounted on the end of the coop. Maintenance of this coop is simple. Every now and then just brush on a coat of wood preservative. Note: This is a natural wood product which may contain minor variations in texture, color, and may have minor chips, scrapes, scratches, or cracks.
